AMPHORA
The ceramic base of the lamp constitutes a copy of Amphora - the antique Greek vessel used for storing wine or oil. It is a perfect combination of the beautiful antigue shape, decorated by a red-figure painting (ca. 500 BC.) with a classical, plain lampshade. The images on the vessel depict an episode from the Trojan War - Priam, the king of Troy, dies by the hand of Neoptolemos, the son of Achilles.
